For Road Trip Rewards,
Enter the Nature Coast
Driving Tour Contest
This
summer, road warriors are encouraged to enter the Nature Coast
Driving Tour Contest contest and drive all or part of the 720
miles that make up the Nature Coast, from the Anclote River in Pasco
County to the Sopchoppy River in Wakulla County.
Driving Tour participants will see salt marshes, moss-draped canopy
roads and lakes ringed with cypress trees. They will also have the
opportunity to kayak, fish, hike, bike, bird watch or go horseback
riding at planned stops.
The mapped out tour leads drivers through nine beautiful counties,
and travelers can choose to do all or just part of the tour. See the
May issue of Nature Coastlines, available at many local restaurants
and businesses, for directions and background information on the scenic,
historical, and recreational attractions in the region. TravelHost magazine
has included information and an entry form as well.
Driving groups who visit the most sites mapped out for the tour and document
their stops with photographs will be eligible for prizes such as boat
rentals, kayak trips, overnight accommodations and free admission to
Nature Coast attractions. Winners will be announced at a banquet to be
held at the Plantation Inn Resort in Crystal River on Oct. 1. Winners
are invited to attend, but they do not need to be present to receive
their prizes.
